RoboTape Business Unit Manager

Position: RoboTape Business Unit Manager

Reports to: President or VP Business Development

 

Job Brief

The RoboTape Business Unit Manager is responsible for the development planning, business and competitive analysis, consumer research, meeting customer project deliverables and cross-functional team leadership of the RoboTape Business Unit, as well as meeting growth and profitability targets.

Responsibilities

Business Development and Sales

  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customers needs
  • Develop RoboTape growth strategy focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Meet business unit growth projections and profitability targets as detailed in business plan
  • Develop sales processes, sales quotes and techniques
  • Develop and execute marketing initiatives
  • Analyze sales statistics for existing products and make changes to marketing campaigns when needed
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Develop and execute plan for rollout of RoboTape brand globally
  • Ensure execution of IP strategy
  • Generate and execute agreements with potential partners, distributors or certified integrators where applicable

 

Operations Management

  • Evaluate and plan overall resource levels to meet current and projected Sales and business activity levels
  • Oversee and evaluate RoboTape operations to ensure it meets the production plan
  • Ensure products follow applicable laws and regulations
  • Predict production costs and prices to ensure they will be profitable
  • Collaborate with others to analyze and improve both current and future operations
  • Occasional travel globally as required

 

 

 

Leadership and People Management

  • Conduct annual and semi-annual review of direct reports with manager as required. Prepare and discuss reviews with Manager prior to conducting
  • Evaluate team members skills and quality of work, implement corrective action
  • Interview prospective new hires and make hiring recommendations to Manager in conjunction with human resources
  • In collaboration with team members, establish personalized and departmental training plans
  • Conduct or delegate training and orientation for new team members
  • Administer discipline as required to direct reports in conjunction with Manager and Human Resources

 

Key Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Well versed in MS Office
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Experience bringing new products to market
  • Working knowledge of Intellectual Property (IP) strategies

 

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering or related field
  • 3 years of experience in Operations Management
